Sharjah is an exciting, lively city with colourful souks filled with interesting artefacts in every corner. Visit the Al Noor Mosque, the first in Sharjah to open its doors to non-Muslim residents and tourists seeking knowledge about Islamic culture. From here, continue your journey through Sharjah’s famous Blue Souk, where more than 600 shops sell carpets, gold, silver, antiques, perfumes, garments and much more.

  1. Stroll through the fish and vegetable markets before you proceed to Al Arsa Souk, one of the few remaining traditional market places which originally served as a meeting place for the Bedouins and their camels. Step back in time and visit the peaceful air-conditioned alleyways of the covered market decorated with solid wooden doors, beautiful coral brick walls and hanging lanterns. You will then proceed to the magnificent building that houses the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilisation, which opened in 2008. Its most outstanding feature is the majestic, gilt central dome, decorated with an intricate mosaic depicting the night sky and the signs of the zodiac.

  2. Your tour ends with a stop at Qanat Al Qasba, one of the most beautiful walking areas in Sharjah. Enjoy the panoramic view of the whole city from Sharjah Eye, while you indulge an Arabic coffee, tea, sweets and the famous Kunafah.
